A September 1, 2026 Ducati North America press push framed Vegas to Reno as a platform proof-point for the Desmo450 EDX: three class wins on the same new off-road Ducati family.

Per that coverage and related wires: Hero Racing took the overall (Ciaran Naran’s crew - full race narrative in our BITD results piece); Team Fohse won Over 30 Pro (Jordan Graham et al.); Marley Racing won Open Amateur.

If you're a U.S. dual-sport or desert rider sizing up a new OEM dirt platform, three class wins at Vegas to Reno are the part that matters, without wading back through the 505-mile race report. This is not a dyno review and not a street-legal dual-sport verdict.

Best in the Desert’s 30th-anniversary Vegas to Reno ran Reno to Vegas (~505 miles). Ciaran Naran, Callum Norton, and Cody Simpson on the Hero Racing Ducati Desmo450 EDX won Open Pro overall in 7:44:26.755, beating Preston Campbell’s JCR Honda by about 34 seconds.
