AMA Supercross

AMA Supercross is stadium motocross: man-made tracks of tight turns, whoops and big rhythm sections built on the floor of football and baseball stadiums. The season usually starts in January and runs into the spring, with most rounds on Saturday nights, and it makes up the first part of the SuperMotocross season.

There are two classes. The 450SX class races every round, while the 250SX class is split into East and West regional championships that come together for showdown races. A typical race night runs practice and qualifying, heat races, last-chance qualifiers and then the main events, so a bad start or one mistake in the whoops can decide a championship. The series traditionally opens at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California.

We're mostly an off-road site, so Supercross coverage here focuses on the news and results that matter to riders who follow the whole sport, like team moves, title fights and riders who cross over to off-road racing.

This hub has the schedule and our Supercross stories. Official results, points and broadcast details are on the series site.
