Cooper Webb Joins Team Tedder Husqvarna for 2027–2028 Supercross
Husqvarna Mobility and Team Tedder confirmed a multi-year deal putting three-time 450SX champion Cooper Webb alongside Justin Hill for 2027–2028 AMA Supercross and SMX — with Webb’s FC 450 Factory Edition debut for Team USA at Motocross of Nations in Ernée, October 2–4, 2026.
The silly-season rumor mill can stand down: Husqvarna Mobility and Team Tedder made it official — three-time 450SX champion **Cooper Webb** is the new face of **Rocky Mountain ATV/MC – Monster Energy – Team Tedder – Husqvarna** for the **2027 and 2028** Monster Energy AMA Supercross seasons and the SMX World Championship that follows.
Riders care because this is not a quiet free-agent shuffle. Webb’s first race on the **Husqvarna FC 450 Factory Edition** is this weekend for **Team USA** at the 2026 Motocross of Nations in Ernée, France (**October 2–4**), before the full Tedder program rolls into Anaheim 1 in January.
The deal, in plain terms
Per the AMA Supercross Live release (October 1, 2026) and the Racer X carry of the same Husqvarna statement:
- Partnership formally starts with the **2027** Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship.
- Webb is signed to a **multi-year** commitment alongside returning Team Tedder rider **Justin Hill**.
- Title branding: **Rocky Mountain ATV/MC – Monster Energy – Team Tedder – Husqvarna**.
- Webb makes his first appearance on the **FC 450 Factory Edition** at **MXoN Ernée, October 2–4, 2026** — his fourth Motocross of Nations for Team USA.
- The deal is framed as a **Supercross / SMX-only** path for Webb at this stage of his career, with another run at a fourth 450SX title in 2027 after finishing third in the standings this year.
What Webb and the team said
Webb, quoted in the Husqvarna release: “I’m very excited for the future. Team Tedder and their entire family have given me an awesome opportunity to go racing on my own terms and put together a program that I believe is capable of chasing championships. I think it’s going to be the perfect balance of bringing together a family-oriented environment and the competitiveness to win. I’ll make my debut this weekend aboard the Husqvarna FC 450 Factory Edition for Team USA at the Motocross of Nations. It’ll be my first time competing on the Husqvarna, but it gives me a lot of confidence to return to a platform that I’ve had so much success on throughout my career. Early in my career, Roger [De Coster] and their entire crew helped turn my 450 career around, so it’s a special moment to once again have them supporting me during the later part of my career. I’ve got a lot of fight left in me and I’m motivated to get back on top.”
Husqvarna Director of Racing SX/MX **Roger De Coster**: “With the addition of Cooper Webb alongside Justin Hill, I believe Team Tedder may surprise some people next season. With a strong team around him, Cooper will be able to fully concentrate on his racing, and he has the opportunity to reach another level – potentially replicating the success he’s achieved previously in his career.”
Team founder **Matt Tedder** welcomed Webb and Husqvarna for the **2027 and 2028** seasons and named Rocky Mountain ATV/MC as title sponsor alongside longtime partner Monster Energy. Team manager **Dakota Tedder** called the move to Husqvarna “a huge step” and flagged MXoN as the first race together.
After Star Yamaha
The factory move lands days after Webb closed the Yamaha chapter. In a post carried by GateDrop (and dated September 27 on MX Passion), Webb wrote that Saturday night was his **last race with Yamaha** after three seasons — citing **10 wins**, **32 podiums**, and Supercross championship finishes of **2-1-3**, plus the personal goal of repaying the team that gave him his first shot nearly 15 years ago with a 450 title. That Yamaha exit is background here; the October 1 news is the **confirmed** Tedder–Husqvarna landing.
What’s still TBD
Exact contract length beyond the stated **2027–2028** racing window, full technical package details, and any additional international calendar beyond the press note that Webb and Hill will have international opportunities with team support — **TBD** until the team or OEM fill those in. MXoN results are not part of this announcement card.
Rider takeaway
Webb is officially orange-and-white for 2027–28 Supercross/SMX with Team Tedder, teammate Justin Hill, and Rocky Mountain ATV/MC on the title line. First ride: **FC 450 Factory Edition** for Team USA at Ernée this weekend. Watch the Supercross Live and Racer X primaries for the full release text — and treat MXoN as its own race story once the weekend is scored.
