Delong Wins Mason-Dixon at Home - Real Win, No Points
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna's Craig Delong takes his first 2026 GNCC overall at Mathews Farm on Sunday, Oct 4 - a non-points Round 11 for XC1, XC2, and WXC after the ISDE clash. Walker +15.4s; Ironman (Oct 23-25) is next for title math.
Craig Delong finally got the one he'd been hunting. On Sunday at Mathews Farm, the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna rider took the Parts Unlimited Mason-Dixon GNCC overall in his home state of Pennsylvania, and he did it the hard way: a real win with no championship points attached.
Round 11 of the Progressive GNCC series paid the Pro purse and put Delong on top of the box. It did not move the Overall National Championship standings. Competition Bulletin 2026-14 had already made Mason-Dixon non-points for Bike XC1, XC2, and WXC because the weekend clashed with the 100th ISDE in Portugal (Oct 12-17). XC1 and XC2 now count a rider's best 12 rounds; WXC best 11. The trophy still matters. The points sheet does not.
Delong vs Walker, then the rest
Per Racer X overall timing and the GNCC motorcycle race report (Sunday, Oct 4, 2026), Delong stopped the clock at 2:44:40.099. Liqui Moly Factory Beta's Jhak Walker was only 15.4 seconds back at 2:44:55.533 - second overall and the 250 Pro class win after pressing Delong for most of the afternoon.
"I was able to get a good start and ride my own race, and started to get away from the rest of the group there for a little bit," Delong said in the team quotes carried by Racer X's reprint of the GNCC release. "Jhak then ran me down, and we battled for most of the race - he was riding well. We were fortunate with his pit strategy, but it feels good to get another win. It's been too long."
Phoenix Racing Honda's Michael Witkowski completed the overall podium in 2:46:19.879 (third overall, second in Open Pro). Josh Strang (Beta) was fourth in 2:46:24.100, and Rocky Mountain Red Bear Kawasaki's Grant Baylor fifth in 2:46:31.398. Behind them, Brody Johnson (Husqvarna) was sixth and second in 250 Pro, with points leader Jordan Ashburn (Honda) seventh overall on a day that could not grow his title lead.
Top five overall (Sunday, Oct 4)
- Craig Delong (Husqvarna) - 2:44:40.099
- Jhak Walker (Beta) - 2:44:55.533 (+15.4s)
- Michael Witkowski (Honda) - 2:46:19.879
- Josh Strang (Beta) - 2:46:24.100
- Grant Baylor (Kawasaki) - 2:46:31.398
Times from Racer X Mason-Dixon overall results. Finishing order matches the official GNCC motorcycle race report, which dates the bike round Sunday, October 4, 2026 (Racer X's results table header still shows Oct 3, the ATV day).
What the standings look like heading to Ironman
Because Mason-Dixon was non-points for the Pro bike classes, the Overall National Championship sheet is unchanged from after Round 10 at The John Penton. Official numbers reprinted in the Mason-Dixon motorcycle report and on Racer X's 2026 GNCC points page:
- Jordan Ashburn - 187
- Steward Baylor Jr. - 179
- Liam Draper - 166
- Ben Kelley - 157
- Craig Delong - 143
Delong's first overall of 2026 is a momentum win, not a points win. He still sits fifth on that Overall sheet, 44 points behind Ashburn, with the series pointing toward the Ironman GNCC, Oct 23-25, at Ironman Raceway in Crawfordsville, Indiana - a full points weekend again. For title math, Ironman is where this afternoon starts to count.
One note from Saturday's ATVs
On the four-wheel side Saturday, Phoenix Racing Yamaha's Brycen Neal took his eighth overall win of the season at Mason-Dixon and leads the ATV Overall National Championship with 302 points, per the GNCC ATV race report. The bike story remains Delong's home-state breakthrough.
