CFMoto just put a real price war number on a 21-inch-front adventure bike. The 2027 Ibex 950 is an all-new 946cc parallel-twin ADV with claimed **112 hp** at 8,500 rpm and **77.5 lb-ft** at 6,250 rpm, and CFMoto’s published U.S. sticker is **$12,499** in Tactical Green or Nebula Black — confirmed in Cycle News’ specs sheet from the August lineup reveal.

That dollar figure is the story. Ultimate Motorcycling’s Sep 13 first look stacks it against a Tuareg 660 at the same $12,499, then a long list of smaller or equal-ish twins that cost more — Ténéré 700 World Raid, V-Strom 800DE Adventure, F 900 GS, 890 Adventure R, DesertX, Tiger 900 Rally Pro. You’re not reading a fantasy build sheet either: KYB 48 mm fork and KYB shock (9.1 in travel each), Brembo M4.32 radials on 320 mm fronts, Bosch cornering ABS/traction control, Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR on **90/90-21** and **150/70-18**.

Specs that matter on the trail

Chassis is tubular steel with an aluminum swingarm; wheelbase **60.2 in**, seat **34.3 in**, rake/trail **26.4° / 4.1 in** (Cycle News). Fuel is **5.9 gal**. Weight reporting splits by source: Cycle News lists **440 lb dry**; Ultimate Motorcycling quotes **489 lb curb** with a full tank — different labels, both published, so don’t mash them into one number. Electronics lean touring-bike: 8-inch vertical TFT, ride modes, cruise, bi-directional quickshifter, TPMS, stability control, USB-A/C, 22-click steering damper, adjustable screen, handguards, skid plate, LED lighting including fog lamps. Heated grips show up in both Cycle News and Ultimate Motorcycling; Ultimate also lists a heated seat.

Who should care

If you’ve been waiting for a mid-to-large ADV with real dirt wheels without paying Euro flagship money, this is the shop-list bike of the week. Compare it honestly to a dirt-first plated single like the [2027 KTM 500 EXC-F 6Days](/news/2027-ktm-500-exc-f-6days) or KTM’s [690 Rally](/news/2027-ktm-690-rally): the Ibex is the touring-leaning twin with luggage options in the press photos; the EXC/Rally machines stay shorter-range and more enduro. For helmet shopping before a dealer sit, our [dual-sport helmets guide](/gear/best-dual-sport-helmets-buyer-guide) still applies. Dealer arrival timing isn’t locked the same way across outlets — RevZilla has floated Q4 2026; treat calendar promises as TBA until CFMoto USA confirms.
