2027 KTM 450 Rally Replica Finally Hits U.S. and Canadian Dealers
Extremely limited competition-spec 450 Rally Replica arrives at authorized dealers this fall — first official U.S. and Canada availability, with US MSRP figures that still disagree by $300.

For years the closest most North American privateers got to a factory KTM rally bike was a shipping quote and a customs broker. That changes this fall. KTM Canada’s September 18 press and the matching U.S. unveil make it official: the **2027 KTM 450 Rally Replica** is arriving at authorized dealers in the United States and Canada for the first time — extremely limited numbers, pure competition spec, built and assembled by KTM Motorsports in Austria.
This is not a street-plated dual-sport with a tower bolted on. It is the customer race machine that sits as close as Mattighofen will sell to the Red Bull KTM Dakar platform. If you came here looking for the LC4 690 Rally, you are in a different aisle. The 690 is a long-range dual-sport. The 450 Rally Replica is a stage weapon with a roadbook tower and three fuel tanks.
First official North American dealer allocation
ADV Pulse and Cycle News both frame the story the same way KTM does: first-ever official NA dealer availability of the competition Replica, fall 2026 arrivals, and a build sheet that starts in the Motorsports hall rather than a volume dual-sport line. Enduro21 repeats the same NA landing note for European readers watching the allocation.
KTM’s own line is blunt. The Replica remains “the closest bike to a factory racer available off a dealership floor,” and the 2027 bike is the only customer race model developed, produced, and assembled by the official KTM Motorsports facility in Austria. That is the whole sales pitch in one sentence: you are buying a limited Motorsports product, not a catalog EXC with stickers.
The competition spec sheet, as the press printed it
Under the carbon nav tower sits a **449.3 cc** liquid-cooled SOHC single with a six-speed gearbox, Keihin EMS and a **44 mm** throttle body, and a titanium Akrapovič exhaust as standard. Dual radiators plus an oil cooler handle stage heat. KTM’s U.S. product page calls out the LED headlight’s claimed **+33%** output versus the prior generation and the digital-roadbook-ready cockpit.
Suspension is WP’s Pro catalog: **XACT PRO 7548** Closed Cartridge Cone Valve fork up front and **XACT PRO 7750** shock at the rear, with roughly **12.0 / 11.0 inches** of travel. CNC triple clamps run a 23 mm offset, with KTM’s PHDS bar mount and a Scotts damper on top. Brakes are Brembo on **300 / 240 mm** discs. Wheels are Excel laced hubs wearing Michelin Starcross 6 Medium/Soft. The seat is Selle Dalla Valle.
Fuel is the other rally signature. Press and trade coverage cite a three-tank system at about **9.11 gal / 34.5 L** — two front cells plus a self-supporting rear tank that doubles as the subframe, with independent pumps so you can feed from either end. That is the number ADV Pulse, Cycle News, and the Canada press kit put in print. The U.S. product page rounds the same package closer to 9.24 gal / 35 L; treat the press figure as the one circulating with the NA launch.
Two U.S. stickers, one Canada number — and no KTM.com MSRP
Here is where the desk refuses to paper over a $300 gap. ADV Pulse (September 18) lists U.S. MSRP at **$42,499** and Canada at **$47,999 CAD**. Cycle News (September 17) — which also reprints the U.S. press text — puts U.S. MSRP at **$42,199**. The public KTM USA product page does not publish an MSRP in the copy we reviewed.
Until Mattighofen or a dealer invoice settles the U.S. number, both published figures stand. Canada’s CAD sticker is clearer in the ADV Pulse write-up. Either way, this is five-figure competition iron in tiny volume — call your dealer before you call it a shopping-cart bike.
Dakar context, without turning this into a results piece
KTM’s NA press leans on the factory program’s recent form: the brand’s 2026 Dakar win with Luciano Benavides, and the longer arc of Replica hardware that has carried KTM riders to the top step since 2023. That is lineage, not a race-results story. The machine you can order this fall is the customer Replica; factory bikes still get parts privateers will never see.
Who this bike is actually for
If you want a plated single for BDRs and forest-service connectors, stay on the 690 Rally conversation. If you want a multi-stage cross-country race bike with a carbon tower, digital roadbook mounts, and ~9 gallons of fuel split across three tanks — and you can live with limited allocation and a five-figure MSRP that still wobbles by a few hundred dollars in the trades — this is the North American door opening that rally privateers have been waiting on.
Fall crates will answer the real questions: how many units land, which dealers get them, and which U.S. sticker sticks. Until then, the useful facts are already on the table — first official NA availability, Motorsports-built competition spec, and two published U.S. prices that do not quite match.
