National Enduro

The National Enduro Championship is America's top series for classic woods enduro racing. Events are run on a mix of timed tests and transfer sections through forests and private land, with riders starting in rows and racing against the clock rather than head to head off a start gate.

The format rewards consistency over a long day. Riders cover several timed tests, often in tight, technical woods with rocks, roots, logs and creek crossings, connected by untimed sections that get them from one test to the next. Scores add up across the whole day, so one crash or a dropped chain can cost more than a slow test.

Classes run from the AA pro ranks through A, B and C skill levels, with age-group, women's and youth classes, which makes the series one of the most rider-friendly paths into national-level racing. Most rounds are in the East, South and Midwest, and many venues have hosted enduros for decades.
